Compassionate Mental Health Support - Empower your journey

My Story

I am an accredited mental health social worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, postgraduate studies in Mental Health, and accreditation with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). My practice integrates both academic expertise and lived experience, enabling me to deliver empathetic, evidence-based support to individuals and communities.

Having lived in this district for over 20 years, I have a deep, grounded understanding of regional life, including family and agricultural contexts. My personal journey has fostered insight into challenges such as trauma, relationship changes, burnout, social anxiety, and the impact of maladaptive schemas. This perspective allows me to build authentic connections and provide compassionate, person-centred care.

Professionally, I currently work in tertiary mental health and with a CATT team and have experience in child protection, homelessness services, and child and family support. This combination of lived experience, practical insight, and clinical expertise enables me to provide holistic, tailored support that promotes resilience, wellbeing, and meaningful change.

Individual Therapy

At Talk Listen Change, I provide one-on-one therapy tailored to each individual. Drawing on my lived experience, professional training, and AASW accreditation, I combine active listening, empathy, and evidence-based strategies to support your mental health and personal growth. As a sole operator, every session is focused on you, ensuring care that is personal, responsive, and designed to meet your unique needs and goals.

Teletherapy

I offer secure and confidential teletherapy, providing personalised support from the comfort of your home. Resources and materials are provided to ensure teletherapy delivers a service experience comparable to face-to-face sessions, combining active listening, professional expertise, and evidence-based strategies to support your mental health and wellbeing.

Achieve Mental Wellness with Talk Listen Change

At Talk Listen Change, anxiety is treated using evidence-based therapies tailored to each individual. Approaches include cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and stress management techniques, all designed to help understand triggers, reduce symptoms, and build lasting coping skills.

At Talk Listen Change, tailored therapy for depression is provided using evidence-based interventions to support emotional wellbeing. This includes approaches such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), mindfulness techniques, and goal-focused strategies to help manage symptoms, improve mood, and build resilience. Each session is personalised to unique needs, ensuring therapy is practical, supportive, and empowering.

At Talk Listen Change, I integrate somatic therapy with evidence-based approaches like Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness to support emotional healing and lasting change. Through body-based awareness and reflective dialogue, I help clients regulate their nervous system, process stored experiences, and develop healthier behavioral and relational patterns. My approach fosters deeper self-understanding, emotional resilience, and more authentic connections with oneself and others.

At Talk Listen Change, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is treated using evidence-based therapies tailored to each individual. Approaches include cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), mindfulness, and coping strategies, all designed to reduce compulsions, manage intrusive thoughts, and improve daily functioning.

At Talk Listen Change, stress management is approached as a practical, skill-based process tailored to each individual. In our sessions, we focus on identifying stress triggers, developing personalized coping strategies, and building resilience. Mindfulness practices, including guided meditation, breathing exercises, and mindful movement, are integrated to promote awareness, emotional balance, and reduce anxiety. Additionally, relaxation exercises and cognitive strategies help manage day-to-day pressures effectively, while self-care practices support long-term mental health. Together, these interventions provide practical tools to nurture your wellbeing, enhance resilience, and prevent burnout.

At Talk Listen Change, trauma therapy is tailored to each individual, including support for PTSD. Evidence-based approaches include trauma-informed cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), reprocessing techniques, reframing, grounding exercises, and mindfulness. These interventions help safely process past experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and build coping skills to support long-term resilience and wellbeing.

The Little White House

Therapy at The Little White House is provided in a private, welcoming space designed for comfort, warmth, and privacy. The house, previously a family home, offers a relaxed environment where clients can make use of kitchen facilities and enjoy a drink. The waiting area includes internet access for streaming services such as Netflix, and a deck at the back provides a peaceful spot to sit and relax, weather permitting. The therapy space is intentionally designed to feel safe and inviting, creating an atmosphere that supports meaningful, client-focused work.

The TLC Philosophy

At Talk Listen Change (TLC), the core philosophy is that every individual’s experience is unique, and effective support is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. Therapy is tailored to each person’s needs, combining evidence-based interventions with a deep understanding of lived experience.

TLC takes a hands-on approach, teaching practical strategies during sessions and providing take-home resources to reinforce learning and ensure skills can be applied in daily life. The practice emphasises active listening, safe and non-judgmental spaces, and empowering clients to build resilience, manage challenges, and achieve meaningful change. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, or everyday stress, TLC focuses on supporting growth, self-awareness, and wellbeing in a way that honours each person’s journey.
